Illusion-infused analysis, science dashed with sleight-of-hand: artist and research magician Stuart Nolan deals in the inconceivable. Open up your mind (and everybody else’s) in this one-of-kind workshop, before crossing the road and mulling it over, dirty negroni in hand…
1000 Mindreaders is Stuart’s artistic mission to train a mindreading ‘army’ in one year. Join the ranks on Friday 14 September at Stranger Collective, to encounter the unconscious messages our muscles give away. Explore the science of embodied cognition; how hands connect to the imagination and thoughts manifest in hidden ways.
After the workshop, you’ll be able to wash your disbelief down with a stiff drink and aperitivo feast at our good neighbours Espressini; with plenty of time to put baffled questions to Stuart, and your newfound superpower to the test.
For everyone. The creators, the thinkers, the scientifically curious, the elevator pitchers and even the lovers.
Friday 14 September, 6pm, Stranger Collective studio in Falmouth.
Followed by food, fizz and cocktails in Espressini from 8pm.
Tickets are £20 and include a glass of fizz and food at Espressini.
With thanks to our accommodation sponsors, the appropriately magical Star & Garter. Well worth a trip if you’re looking for perfectly concocted cocktails, dinners to dwell on or a stay worth savouring.
