Ready for a night of word wizardry? Then head to the brand new performance space at the Fish Factory on Saturday 14th March for a rare chance to see two of spoken word’s brightest stars on the same bill.
One of Britain’s leading stand-up poets, Luke Wright is back in Cornwall with a new set of poems. Comic, whistful, sometimes tragic, his visceral, punchy poems feature ordinary people having extraordinary moments.
“His lexical acrobatics are astounding, often motor-mouthed and breathtakingly honest.” The List
Whether touring with punk legend John Cooper Clarke or wowing crowds at international arts festivals, Wright dresses the ancient form up in its Saturday night best and gives good poem.
Local girl done good, Molly Naylor is the author and star of two smash hit Edinburgh Fringe shows – My Robot Heart and Whenever I Get Blown Up I Think of You.
She’s had poems published in top magazines, adapted her shows for the radio and been commissioned by BBC Radio 4, The Royal Shakespeare Company and Battersea Arts Centre. Her sitcom, After Hours, stars Ardal O’Hanlon and John Thompson and will be on Sky 1 later this year.
