What happens when a job you want to do doesn’t exist where you want to do it? You make your own company. Well, that’s the approach creative entrepreneur Jenny Shipley chose. Providing March’s dose of early morning inspiration, over croissants and coffee, she’ll share the story of Cut by Beam.
From studying 3D design at Falmouth University and graduating in the middle of financial crisis, via juggling two part-time jobs and several internships to growing a business from scratch – Jen knows just what goes in to shaping dreams into a reality. Now, everything from penknives to reusable cups and rustic wooden camping spoons leave the doors of her farm-based engraving studio – proving that where there’s a will (and a lot of hard work) there’s a way.
Creative Breakfasts are free to attend at start at 8.30am in the Stranger Collective Studio, Killigrew Street.
