We’re all for championing graduate talent here at Stranger Collective, so when we caught word of BRINK, a space dedicated to drawing together the best graduate design talent, we felt an urge to shout about it.
Taking place as part of Tent London, where over 20,00 trade buyers coming to see what’s on offer, BRINK will be an exciting opportunity for fledgling design talents to showcase the extent of their abilities. And since it’s all part of London Design Week, they’ll also be a glut of high profile design thinkers, speakers and doers heading along to boot.
BRINK is curated by Katie Tregidden, confessions of a design geek editor, who is keen to unearth an array of hopeful design talent teetering on the cusp of success. “Meeting new designers is the best part of my job” Katie says, “they still believe in the impossible; and that belief is contagious. I love writing about them and I wanted to take that offline into the real world.”
The first three graduates to be included in Katie’s curation have been announced, they are Sam Jennings, Wonseok Jung and Hannah Quinn. Their impressive pieces will be displayed as part of the design mix, alongside more fresh-faced designers who are yet to be announced.
If you happen to be in East London next weekend from the 18 to the 22 of September, and fancy casting your eyes over talent ready to take off, BRINK will be ready and waiting to wow you at Stand E02, in The Old Truman Brewery Yard just off Brick Lane. It’s a taste of things to come…
