Chloe Eathorne

Joining Stranger as our autumn 2025 intern, poet and recent graduate Chloe is excited to bring her curiosity, creativity, and playful storytelling to our projects.

From interviewing The Wombats at Boardmasters this summer on behalf of The Student Music Network, to creating ‘Meyn Drudh’, a documentary exploring our fascination with Cornwall’s ancient stone sites, Chloe is always ready to get stuck into a creative task. Having studied Journalism & Creative Writing at Falmouth University, and this year completing an MA in Professional Writing, she’s looking forward to expanding and honing her creative skills.

Growing up in Cornwall, Chloe is inspired by the post-industrial landscape and juxtaposition of industry and nature; she’s currently working on her debut poetry collection inspired by the land-body connection. Since 2020 she has produced and presented The Wildflower Hour, on community radio stations Source FM, Soundart Radio and Surf Radio. Blending indie folk with jazz-infused funk, the show features conversations with local creatives about art, poetry, nature and well-being – whether that’s exploring the wonderful world of bees with naturalist Brigit Strawbridge-Howard, the benefits of the ocean with Blue Health Coach Phil Williams, or discussing the power of sound with pioneering sound artist Justin Wiggan.

She’s curious about the way words connect us and the little spark of everyday magic they carry. When she’s not writing or recording, she can be found wandering ancient stone sites, rummaging in charity shops, or exploring the wilds with her giant dog, Bear.
