Daisy’s started her working life as a news journalist for Pirate FM, before moving to London, where she was a producer and output editor for ITV News, Channel 5 News and Al Jazeera, and a programme editor at BBC London.
During this time, social media happened and she accidentally found herself an expert in this new way to communicate with audiences. Moving back to Cornwall after having a baby, she set up her own social and digital content consultancy, delivering training and services for a huge range of brands big and small, including Mumsnet’s small business network, Danone, Mattel, global ad agencies Aquent and Ogilvy, as well as teams across the BBC. She then became the first Digital Commissioning Editor at the BBC, before a short stint as Head of TV & Online News for the South West during the Covid pandemic.
Daisy is obsessed with putting the audience first and making every word make sense for them. She’s also particularly interested in how internal and external brand positioning aligns and plays a part in building team culture.
