This year, GOODFEST – taking place 28 + 29 September – is all about how the power of stories can truly explore and develop ideas of what exactly “a good life” means. We’re looking for two Strike correspondents to find, listen, talk and be inspired to create an editorial feature based on their experience at the festival.
With its roster of interesting speakers, thought-provoking workshops and collection of curious minds, GOODFEST will be your starting line for a feature idea that you’ll run with in words: ask questions, find examples, take it further.
Interested?
Here’s how to apply:
Send a short paragraph to [email protected] by Wednesday 13 September 2023 outlining why you’d be interested in attending GOODFEST and why it would be a great opportunity for your professional development and practice. Successful applicants will be selected by the Stranger Collective team and receive their writer pass for the festival and a full brief for their (paid) feature.
What you’ll get:
Importantly, we’re not expecting you to report on the festival proceedings. Instead, this is a brief to be inspired at the festival and create a compelling, engaging feature in response to speakers, the workshops and conversations that take place.
It’s an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in covering how to make a positive difference to lives and the environment, gaining editorial experience, and networking with a vibrant mix of people from Cornwall and further afield.
